After launching the application, the main window appears. (Figure 1).

In the action bar, the leftmost button calls up the main menu (Figure 2), the rightmost button brings up the settings menu (Figure 3).

Two arrow buttons move the cursor to the beginning or end of the document.

If you select "Open" in the main menu, a navigation window appears (Figure 4), in which you can select a disk (click on the disk icon in the upper right corner) and find the desired file.

If in the settings menu you have enabled the permission to store a list of recent files, then the item "Open recent" will be available in the main menu. If you select it, a list of recently opened files will appear (Figure 5). A file from the list can be opened by clicking on it and then clicking the "Open" button.

If the file is unavailable for any reason (for example, it was on a USB flash drive that was removed), a message appears about the inaccessibility of the file.

Inaccessible files can be removed from the list. To do this, first click on the button on the right side of the string. The icon on the button changes. Then click on the "Shorten the list" button (Figure 6). Additional information on the FAQ page.

Making a list begins with the inclusion of this option in the settings menu. When the option is disabled, the list is erased.

The file is opened in the main application window (Figure 7).

If necessary, you can change the font in the main menu "Font" (Figure 8).

The main menu item "Search in text" starts the search for the desired fragment (Figure 9). After finding the fragment, you can continue the search from the current position or start again.

Similarly, the replacement of one fragment by another works. You can make one replacement, continue the replacement from the current position or replace all.

The main menu item "Restore" cancels the last change made. For example, deleting / adding one character or block.

The button with the folder image initiates the creation of a new folder in the current location (Figure 10).

A button with a floppy disk image initiates saving the file to the selected disk (when you have write permissions).

A window will appear in which you can enter a file name and select a code page (Figure 11)

You can also select the desired file in the list. And his name will be transferred to the input window. (To do this, in the settings enable the option "Show the contents of folders")
